How can we contact our Spirit Guide(s)?

PHEW! This should be the HUGEST question here! I will
concentrate mostly on this question on this page and add
links and direct you in the right direction for other info. I know
for a fact niether I, nor anyone, else has ALL the answers. But
I can give you what I have gathered over the past few years. This comes from my beliefs, opinions, books I've read, conversations with psychics, etc. Also I strongly recommend going to www.kajama.com and look through their Archives. They have TONS of information there on this and other awesome subjects. This may come out very choppy at first, till I get a structure worked out in my brain.

Spirit Guides talk to us all the time. We just don't hear them as a voice out side of our head (some do, but those are the lucky ones!) Now, we just have to learn how to listen. They talk to us and it's hard at first to decipher what thoughts are yours and what are theirs. *Some clues are when you're asking a question and the answer comes before you've even finished. And most of the time you just "Know" when that thought has not come from your thoughts. That will be your Spirit Guide talking to you. We just have to learn to relax and listen.

First off when trying any contact with the Other Side, just make sure you surround the White Light around you. A nice visualization is to picture it like the Good Witch of the North from Wizard of Oz. She always traveled in a protective bubble. Keep that white light with you all the time.

To relax and calm our thoughts down to the minimum. You can start out slow and ask what their name is. So get relaxed, in a quiet place. No distractions or jumbled thoughts getting in the way. (Some people can do this quickly and easily, some people have to take more time and OF COURSE meditating will help with this.) Okay, when you're ready ask your Spirit Guide what their name is. Take the FIRST name that comes to your mind. However strange (which should give you a hint it's real too.) I did this and got my Spirit Guides name, Carmen. And I was thinking about a vision I had (see Visions Log) of a man and I was thinking about it saying, maybe it's a new Spirit Guide and then I thought "I wonder what his name is..." and all of the sudden I got the name, Tyler. So they hear you and know your questions and usually answer you before you can ask! It's awesome. You can do this to ask whether they are male or female. And when you get good at deciphering your own thoughts with theirs, you can do this with questions. Yes or No questions are the easiest.

Here is a good tip from another very knowledgeable psychic and medium:

"Go with your gut. When you feel her/his presense, try concentrating all your energy on her/him. While you're doing this, take note of what it feels like. Don't say anything, at first, because words can get in the way of the experience, hence blocking the formation of a mental "pathway".

When I feel these things, it is toward the back and top of my head, like a "window" is opening up. After you get a "grip" on her. Then you can start with the talking and asking... (slowly). Hope this makes sense."
