EVP - Electronic Voice Phenomena
A form of spirit communications and proof of survival. Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) is considered as part of the physical mediumship, as the spirit's actions also affect the objects, the equipment. Spirits manipulate the electronic devices you choose to use in order to record spirit or ghosts. A simple tape player will do this or the most elaborate set up utilizing special computer software programs and recording devices. The message, itself, is then thought to be telekinetically impressed into the recording media.
It’s funny because I just went to see the “White Noise” movie this weekend. On some points it was right on, actually on most. But then it did enhance the negative entities for entertainment purposes; the scare-factor. Other than that it was great to see the things that ghosts really do make happen in our lives to let us know they are alive. It was nice to see actual truths in the movie for all to know. I have not heard of any recordings in the negative issues such as that shown in this movie utilizing EVP’s. The only danger that is possible is misinterpreting spirit messages and taking things in your own hands.
The problem with EVPs right now is knowing who is talking. Some entities are jokesters and will tell you anything. It is a lot like listening to a conversation in another room. You have trouble hearing and understanding the words and you really do not know who is talking. You must use discernment with EVP messages just as you must when talking to people in the flesh. That’s where being psychically aware is extremely useful in combination with EVPs. Check out some of my other articles regarding Psychic Awareness for more on opening up to your own abilities.
So far I have only practiced this with your regular run-of-the-mill tape recorder. It is useful the more you practice with this. I do not know enough about this to delve deeper into the explanation and how to’s. However, Shadowlands Ghosts Site has a variety of information on this and more. Check it out!
