Kundalini
Kundalini Question:
Blue Light - Blue Pearl of Consciousness

Dear Maggie,

I have been trying to find more information on kundalini and eye
symptoms. I have been experiencing kundalini energy in various
forms for several years and know basically what it is all about. However, lately, I have been walking around with a feeling of a pressure in the head, a pulling sensation of the eyes toward the center of the head, and I am aware of a blue ball of beautiful light in the center of the head when I lie down to rest. What is disturbing is seeing intermittent flashes of light from the upper corner of the left eye when I walk around. I had this once before, only it was lower corner of the right eye which eventually went away. At that time I went to the emergency eye center and had a thorough eye exam and the doctor was puzzled as he could not find anything wrong. I ask if you are aware of others having similar experiences and know how to handle the situation. I do not like to drive my car with this sort of thing going on. Associated with this at times is a sudden stiff neck and feelings of heat all over the body when there is not fever or obvious infection. I hesitate in going back to the eye clinic as the doctors there do not understand kundalini processes, and their thorough exam can be quite stressful when they dump you upside down on a special table and focus a very bright uncomfortable light in your eyes. Would acupuncture help this sort of condition?

Margaret

Hi Margaret,

What a synchronicity on our names! I love your questions as they are on one of my favorite topics and no at all uncommon for the Kundalini awakening process. Although you have gone to the doctor once to no avail, you may decide to get it checked once more and that is always a wise thing to rule out and set the mind at ease. However, listen the body and honor the wisdom of the body always. So any physical issues aside, what it seems is you are mostly dealing with right now with the symptoms you've mentioned are focused on the Third Eye Chakra and the Crown Chakra. The pressure in the head can sometimes be alleviated with visualizations of a lotus opening up above the crown of your head and you visualize the energy that has built up to your crown being freed. The energy behind the eyes and third eye (center of the forehead between the eyebrows) is very common during Third Eye openings. Your third eye brings clarity of thought and intuition as well as a heightened psychic awareness and visions. The vision of the blue light is an amazing common occurrence for Kundalites.

I'll cut and paste the excerpt from my book, Divine Embrace, (that will soon be published) about this light: "A Blue Light. This has also been called the Blue Pearl of consciousness. It is said this is our true essence and is said to be the ultimate goal to reach. Once “found” (or rather, I feel, remembered) it never leaves you. Usually seen by your third eye and/or mind's eye. A higher consciousness of All That Is and is a sign of Kundalini rising. This blue light is with you always as a perfect guide. Simply be in the presence of this beautiful all-knowing light. Gratitude may sweep your system as you know all is well."

The heat in the body and stiff neck are also symptoms. Of course as long as you've done the logical first and made sure there are not physical issues within you regarding these symptoms then you can rest assured, as you have other symptoms that confirm your rising is occurring. Tremendous heat and cold are common symptoms that may be alleviated by utilizing an ancient yogic breath technique called: Alternate Nostril Breathing technique. I will cut and paste this except to explain this technique from my book as well:

"It is much easier to do this while watching another guiding you. Your hand is held in front of your nose, you will alternate your thumb and pinky finger to block one nostril at a time. Each inhale and exhale is done slowly to the count of four. If desiring a cooling affect, block your right nostril first and breathe in through your left nostril (to the count of 1, 2, 3, 4). Then block your left nostril and breathe out through your right nostril (1, 2, 3, 4). Then block the left nostril and breathe out through the right nostril (1, 2, 3, 4). Leaving your left nostril blocked, breathe in through the right nostril (1, 2, 3, 4). Block the right nostril and breathe out through the left nostril (1, 2, 3, 4). Repeat the cycle of alternate-nostril breathing a few times and end the cycle with an exhale through the left nostril. For a warming effect, begin your first inhale through the right nostril and finish the cycle by exhaling through your right nostril.

“There has been much success for those people with Kundalini Awakening symptoms that have actually listened to the messages from their body. Listen to the subtle messages your body is telling you. Following the guidance of your intuition and listening to your body provides relief and balance in your life. The messages are there, we just have to listen and take the action steps.”

Since acupressure works directly with the meridian energies, I'm sure acupressure could assist with symptoms and sometimes could aggravate it depending upon the symptom and on the practitioner you go to who may or may not be aware of Kundalini. Grounding is very BIG with remaining centered, present and alleviating symptoms as best as possible. You can use a visual of being a tree in the ground to several other methods of grounding. Another option is to talk with your Kundalini Shakti and make "It" aware that you are aware and would very much so like it if the symptoms of Kundalini be held for a particular time during the day when you are not busy or in unsafe situations such as driving. Make a vow that you will take at least 15-60 minutes a day to meditate and focus on the Self awareness and allow whatever to come to come and be released during that time. Be present and listen to the body and the inner stillness. During this time you may find part of it is best spent practicing yoga or some type of mind awareness movements. This prepares the body for meditation and release. The five Tibetans are one such movement offerings I do daily. Type in five Tibetans in your search engine and see if it resonates. You will also find that if you create a sacred space in your home, even a corner, that you dedicate to just this practice it will be that much stronger every time you go. If you stick to your end of the bargain Kundalini may do its best to do the same. However, it may still occur outside these constraints as Kundalini Shakti will do whatever it needs to do for each of us on an individual basis and It decides if you are to receive more or less depending upon your own Life Blueprint, Karma and previous life work.

Overall these symptoms are ones that will pass with time. A full Surrender is the ultimate request of the Shakti within. Just allow it to be. You've already gone to the doctors and have done the logical thing and made sure it was not a physical issue. Now a full surrender will truly allow the energy to work its magic in the divine way it is meant to for you. We each will experience this Kundalini awakening uniquely. Also, I recommend a great book for Kundalini: Farther Shores by Yvonne Kason, M.D. Overall, success occurs with a better diet, a healthy sleeping routine, beautiful visualizations, surrendering and listening to your body and inner guidance through these transitional times.

I wish you many blessings on your path into Self. And please do let me know if you have further questions! I love talking about this subject! It's our essence! :)

Bliss,
Maggie
